William “Bill” Duncil Sr.

William “Bill” Duncil Sr. 71 of Connersville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 23, 1949 in Connersville to the late George Duncil Jr. and Helen Maggard Duncil.

Bill was enlisted in the United States Army for 2 years.

On April 20, 1968 he married Rhonda Shannon at Full Gospel Holiness Church.

Bill was a dedicated Christian man and was a faithful member of Full Gospel Holiness. He was one of the greatest lead guitarists with a specialty in playing the still guitar for the church. Serving the Lord and playing music was his life, there was know way around it.

When he wasn’t playing music, he was spending quality time with his family especially his special great grandson, Levi.

He retired from Crown and then went to work at City Hall as the custodian for Mayor Leonard Urban.

Along with his loving wife of 53 years he will be greatly missed by his sons, William “Billy” (Angela) Duncil and Steve (Crystal) Duncil; grandchildren, Bryanna (Randy) Murray and Joston, Ashlynne and Jayce Duncil; 2 great grandsons, Levi and Logan Murray; brother, Larry (Wilma) Duncil and a sister, Cheryl (Jack) Isaacs.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Brian Keith Duncil.

Visitation for Bill will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Urban Winkler funeral Home, 513 W. 8^th St. Connersville, Indiana 47331. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11:00 am at Full Gospel Holiness Church, 1109 W. 10^th St. Connersville with Reverend William “Billy” Duncil Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
