David Lee Ripberger, 77, of Milton went home to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, December 18, 2021 at Rush Memorial Hospital, Rushville.
One of eleven children of Harry Leo and Grace Gladys White Ripberger, David was born in Connersville on November 21, 1944.
On October 30, 1965, David married the former Janice Elaine Watson in Richmond. Mrs. Ripberger survives.
For over 30 years, David was employed at Perfect Circle of Richmond, retiring in 1997.
He enjoyed working on cars and lawnmowers with his family.
Besides his wife of 56 years, Janice Ripberger, survivors include three children, William (Marcy) Ripberger, Daniel Ripberger, all of Indianapolis, and Angela Eldridge of Connersville; three grandsons, Joshua (Megan) Worl, Logan Eldridge, and Jason Eldridge all of Connersville; two great-granddaughters, Willow Ann Worl and River Jade Worl; a brother, Donald (Darlene) Ripberger of Paragon, Indiana; five sisters, Pat Boughner of Richmond, Phyllis Glaub of Connersville, Carolyn Hall of Florida, Joyce (Richard) Houseworth of Centerville, and Marilyn (John) Anderson of Richmond; a brother-in-law, Wallace Haselby of Venice, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Rita Ripberger of Liberty, Indiana and Margie Ripberger of Connersville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
David was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson, Rowan Pac Worl; three brothers, Charles, James, and Robert Ripberger; a sister, Wilma Haselby; three brothers-in-law, Louis Glaub, Francis Boughner, and Larry Hall; and a sister-in-law, Mabel Ripberger.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. David’s daughter-in-law, Dr. Marcy Ripberger, will officiate. Interment will be conducted in Valley Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
