Muncie, IN – Mary Alice Evans, 84, of Muncie, IN passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 25, 2018 near her residence. She was born August 11, 1934 in Delaware County, IN. Mary was the daughter of Roscoe and Lois (Boyle) Bailey. She was a homemaker and had worked at Muncie Gear and Grays Restaurant.
Mary was a member of Blountsville Christian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary at the church. She enjoyed making quilts for her ladies Auxiliary, baking and canning. She treasured time with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Kim L. Evans (wife, Esther) of Modoc, IN, Terry W. Evans of Muncie, IN, Melinda Luttman (husband, Jim) of Parker City, IN, Tracy Evans (wife, Julie) of New Castle, IN and Don E. Evans (wife, Anne) of Muncie, IN; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth L. Evans; three sisters; and one brother.
Mary’s life will be celebrated Sunday December 30th from 2-4 PM for family and friends, with services following at 4 PM at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN.
