Flora England, 91, resident of Mt. Summit, Ind. passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2018.
She was born March 3, 1927 in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Margaret Jane Davis Lewis.
She was a resident of Mt. Summit for most of her life and was retired from Modernfold Industries in New Castle after 36 years of service.
Mrs. England was a member of the Mechanicsburg Church of God and the Central Indiana Blue Grass Association. She enjoyed family activities, bluegrass music, camping and traveling. She will be remembered as a lady who put God first, then family and country, she was very patriotic.
Left to cherish her loving memory include her three children; Phyllis Isenhower of Muncie, Indiana, Teresa Johnson of Ft. Myers, Florida and Gordon England and his fiancé Judy of Middletown, Indiana; one step-son, Tim Atchison and his wife, Ricci of New Castle, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jackie Thurston and her husband, Jeff A., Eric England, Kyla Hoyne and her husband, Dave, Amanda Isenhower and Kenny Johnson; two step-children, Brock Atchison and his wife, Jessie and Kaycie Gatch and her husband, Anthony; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson England and Trinity England; three step-great-grandchildren, Hannah, Persephone and Artemis; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William K. “Bill” England on January 20, 2013, and five sisters, Eva Reed, Virgie Oldham, Edna Carter, Ethel Black and Anna Jones; four brothers, Norman Lewis, William Lewis, Abel Lewis and Zora Lewis.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at Macer-Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service in New Castle. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2018, at Macer-Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service with the Rev. Allen Polston officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Summit Cemetery.
