Mark Anthony Bartels, 60, of New Castle, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at his residence.
He was born on August 10, 1961 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of late Jack and Janet (Luellen) Bartels.
Mark’s legacy will live on through his daughter, Amanda (Wayne) Williams of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Kinzie Ingermann, Kamryn Pew, and Chandler Williams all of Greenfield; four siblings, Dean (Shelia) Bartels, Carl Bartels, Cindi Bartels, and Tonya Watson all of New Castle; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was a Renaissance Man, creating and working on projects with his hands, perfecting his role as a beloved papaw as he attended his grandchildren’s sporting events; even going as far as to buy a new jersey each time one of them joined a new team.
He was honest, funny, and while known by many, he was loved by all. His family, friends, and community will not be the same without his presence and he will surely be missed.
He will be cremated by Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory forgoing a public memorial service, per his last wishes. A celebration of life gathering for close family and friends is to be determined. You may express condolences or share a memory of Mark at www.hinsey-brown.com.
