Geneva Bane, 95 of Richmond passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 28, 2021, at Arbor Trace. She was born February 19, 1926, in Hamilton, Ohio to Gardner and Anna Thomas Waddell and lived in the Richmond area most of her life. She enjoyed gardening, country music, and her grandchildren, and was a talented artist.
She formerly worked at Avco and PRC and retired from Krogers. She was a member of the Nazarene faith. Geneva had the distinction of being the first of three sets of twins.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law Linda Bane with whom she had a relationship for over 55 years, three grandchildren; Kathleen (Adam) Elza, Diana (Pete Hedges) Bane, and Melissa (Cory) Fry, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Edith Roberts and Janice Potter, three brothers; Garland, Glendon, and Rondal Waddell, nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Robert E. Bane, whom she married on June 6, 1945, passed away in 2008, she is also preceded in death most recently by her son Donald, her parents, three sisters, including her twin Juanita Barker, Irene Burton, and Geraldine Breen, and three brothers, Edwin, Gailen, and William Darrell Waddell.
Funeral services for Geneva will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 4, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. Her burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
