Helen M. Logan, age 77, a New Castle resident, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Henry Community Health in New Castle. She was born July 18, 1943, a daughter of Russell and Mabel (Rector) Heck.
Helen was a homemaker and cherished being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and special friends.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Homer (Gene) Logan; two daughters, Melissa Rees and Shannon Logan; seven grandchildren, Ryan (wife, Heather) Duvall, Tyler Ross, Lacey Ross (fiancé, Jimmy), Logan Rees, Nicholas Sarten, Matthew Sarten (fiancé, Makenzie) and Megan Saunders; seven great-grandchildren, Kasyn, Kamdyn, Paxtyn, Kinsleigh, Abel, Madeline and Alaina; one sister, Dianne Davis; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Lynda Pierce, James Pierce, and Brian Duvall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy Sarten, Jr., two brothers, Charlie and Freddie Heck; her mother and father-in-law, Mae and Carols Logan.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2021 at Macer-Hall-Marcum and Moffitt Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad St., New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating.
