Kathleen Jill “Katt” (McMaster) Schane, 68, of New Castle, passed away on the morning of Saturday, April 10, 2021 at home.
She was born on January 1, 1953 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Charles Elvin and Louise Marjorie (Mitchell) McMaster.

Kathleen believed your life is not what you are handed, it’s what you make of it. She refused to give up and continued to push forward to be the best version of her Father’s daughter. Katt enrolled in Altoona School of Commerce in business and accounting and successfully graduated with honors in 1985. She believed she was so blessed by the gifts of a growing loving family. Katt enjoyed writing poetry and working jigsaw puzzles. She was a woman of faith and enjoyed studying the Bible and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.”
Proceeding her in death was her son, Donald “Blue” Quarry Jr., as well as his wife, Kelley Quarry, with whom he had one son, Tyler Quarry, of Knightstown. Surviving is her daughter, Michelle, who she called “Ladybug” and her husband, Dennis Noel of Martinsburg, PA; 10 grandchildren, the children of Michelle: Michael Schane Quarry, Natisha Black, Zachary Brown, Phillip Noel, Cole Black, Ashley Noel, Gabriella Noel, Gideon Noel, and the children of Donald: Donna Chesney and Tyler Douglas Quarry; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlene Smith and Patty Servello; two brothers, Dennis McMaster and David McMaster and several nieces and nephews.

Katt was a giver and helped many by donating to their causes. In lieu of flowers, all gifts of love – no matter the size – may be offered to assist with the medical expenses Katt’s grandson, Cole and wife, Marissa Black, are incurring since the recent birth of their daughter, Elianna. Katt’s newest great-granddaughter was born in Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital with a rare heart condition as well as a second health condition. Elianna will be continuing her stay for at least six additional months. They greatly appreciate all prayers and any gifts that people offer. Thank you!
