Linda S. Riesen, age 82, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 31, 1938, in Wayne County, Indiana, to James and Thelma Creech Jeffries, Linda was a life-long resident of this community. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1957. Linda enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities, holidays, and playing games with her family.
Survivors include her children, Susie (Randy) Ecker of Richmond, Lynn (Rex) Eckler of Georgia, Jack (Lori) Riesen of Florida, and Becky (Jeff) Doerflein of Richmond; 10 grandchildren including her very special granddaughter, Courtney Ecker of Richmond, who was her best friend and caregiver for the past 9 ½ years, Shane Ecker, Brandon (Brandy) Ecker, Dustin Ecker, Maddie Eckler, Gabe Eckler, Tyler Riesen, Anna Riesen, Brad Doerflein, and Ryan Doerflein; five great-grandchildren, Bryndan, Blaikley, Jaxton, Madyx, and Rebecca; and sister, Phyllis Weiner of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jack W. Riesen Sr., who died October 26, 2011, and parents.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we regret to inform you that services for Linda S. Riesen will be private. The service will be recorded and available on the Doan & Mills Funeral Home website. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
