Debra Mason-Haskett, 55, of New Castle, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
She was born on July 6, 1965, in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles Mason and Frances M. (Chilcoat) Atkinson.
Debra grew up in the Richmond area where she met the love of her life, Terry Haskett, who asked her to marry him on the very first date. They were married on August 18, 1984. Debra worked as a cashier in several grocery stores in Richmond and Bloomington. She enjoyed watching movies, shopping, her dogs, spending time with her family, and especially playing with her grandbabies.
Those left to cherish Debra’s memory include her husband of 36 years, Terry Haskett; a son, Dale (Mandy) Haskett of Terre Haute and his children, Elizabeth, Aidan, Neveah, Millie, and an infant; a daughter, Heather “Nikki” Davis of New Castle and her children, Dakota and Temperence “Tempy”; two sisters, Catherine Crutcher and Lisa Sandifar of both of Richmond.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 14, 2020 at Sproles Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
