Eula Faye (Eaton) Ward, age 83, resident of Cambridge City, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born in Monticello, Kentucky on July 30, 1937 the daughter of Hubert and Delvia (Davenport) Eaton.
Her family moved to New Castle in the mid 1950’s. She was married September 27, 1959 to James L. Ward, the love of her life for 54 years. Faye retired from the New Castle State Hospital after 30 years of service. She loved spending time with her family. She was a great cook, avid gardener, enjoyed music, and sewing beautiful quilts. In addition, she was the family genealogist. After collecting information about her family history for over 50 years, she published a book in 2001
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Hagerstown, Indiana.
Faye is survived by three daughters, Sharon Norris (John) of New Castle, Peggy Morton (Jeff) of New Castle and Imogene Miers (Kenny) of Spiceland. In addition, she has seven grandchildren; Kyle Morton (Jamie), of Indianapolis; Kara Gray (Kyler), of Harrison, Ohio; Kelli Johnson (Brett), of Muncie; Ryan Miers (Karly), of Spiceland; Alex Miers, of New Castle; Laura Norris (Drew), of Lafayette; and Katie Norris (Josh) of New Castle. She has nine great grandchildren; Abram, Lucy and Daniel Gray; Lincoln, Sophia and Sawyer Miers; Theo Morton, Violet Reeves and Mason Johnson. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2014; her parents and three sisters, Betty Lee, Lucille Easton and Anna Hurt.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Macer-Hall-Marcum & Moffitt Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad Street, New Castle. Reverend CJ Buskirk of the Sulphur Springs Christian Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown, Indiana.
