Donita K. “Bug” Darling, 71, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at I.U. Ball Hospital in Muncie. She was born September 1, 1949 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Homer and Justine (Douglas) Keaton.
She retired from CMI Corporation in Parker City where she had been employed as a welder. Donita had formerly been employed at ABB in Muncie and Indiana Bridge in Muncie. She attended Kennard Baptist Church, enjoyed bowling, golfing and shooting. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Darling; daughter, Michelle (Toby) Back of New Castle; three sons, Allan (Shannon) Harding of Texas, Jason (Shilo) Darling of Kennard and Eric (Sheri) Darling of Shirley; nine grandchildren, Danielle (Austin) Gilkison, Dustin Harding, Lynzee (Earl) Ford, John Allan Harding, Airadessa Harding, Evan Darling, Sara Darling, Brandon McAllister and Brandy Burgess; four great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Zaylee, Michael and Aleana; two sisters, Beverly Kennedy of Florida and Patsy (Rick) Poe of Mooreland; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Juanita.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Brent Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
