A Richmond teen was shot in the leg early Friday morning.
Shortly before 3 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, third shift patrol officers for Richmond Police Department were dispatched to the 1400 block of South 16th Street to the report of a shooting.
Aquavion Allen, 18, of Richmond, was located with a gunshot wound to his leg. Allen was transported to Reid Health in stable condition, according to Capt. Curt Leverton in a news release.
Investigators were called to the scene and were investigating the incident as of 7 a.m. Friday.
Several juveniles and young adults were at the location of the incident, Leverton said. No arrests had been made when the news release was issued.
Earlier in the week, another teen was injured in a Richmond shooting.
A 16-year-old boy was shot in the hand inside a home after a bullet passed through an air conditioner.
At about 3:17 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, Richmond Police Department responded to 208 Pearl St. on the city’s northwest side in response to a person who had been shot.
During the initial investigation, it was determined that a bullet had passed through an air conditioning unit and struck a 16-year-old male inside 208 Pearl St.
The teen was transported to Reid Health for treatment of a hand injury.
Lt. Brandon Cappa said the initial investigation revealed that 202 Pearl St. also had been struck by gunfire.
