Wanda K. Golay, 72, of Connersville, passed away Monday morning, September 21, 2020 at Reid Hospital in Richmond where she had been a patient since Tuesday. She had been in failing health for several weeks.
She was born February 27, 1948 in Connersville, one of nine children of Harold and Mary K. Dye Pollitt. She was a graduate of Connersville High School.
She was married to Melvin Russell “Bud” Golay, and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1978.
For several years, she was employed by Advance Home Health Care.
In her leisure, she enjoyed puzzle books and working puzzles.
Survivors include three children: Ryan Golay, Kathy Burris and husband, Steve, and Scott Golay and Chrystal, all of Connersville; six grandchildren, Brandon (Abby) Golay, Cierra (Aaron) Golay, Jeff Burris, Cassidy Burris, Kelsey (Dylan) Puterbaugh and Ruby Golay; six great grandchildren with two on the way; two sisters; six brothers; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a great granddaughter, and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Stan Howard at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, where friends may call from noon until the time of the service on Thursday.
