A. Armilda “Mildy” Alspaugh, 90, of rural Mechanicsburg passed away September 5, 2020 at her residence. She was born September 5, 1930 in Frazer, Kentucky to the late William Pierce and Rebecca (Huddelston) Davis.
Mildy was a member of the American Legion ladies Auxiliary #216 of Middletown, Kennard Brother and Sisterhood, and the White River Bluegrass Association. She was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers but mostly loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Curtis Alspaugh; sons, David (Vicky) Alspaugh of Middletown, Larry (Kathy) Alspaugh of Mt. Etna, Indiana; grandchildren, Brian (Kristi) Alspaugh of Daleville, Micky (Kasey) Alspaugh of Anderson, Julie (Michael) Rasbaugh of Lagrange, Indiana; great grandchildren, Desiree, Austin, Dylan, Haley, Matthew, Rebecca Alspaugh, Michayle, Carly and Ethan Rasbaugh; great great grandchildren, Sophie, Emma Grace, Brantley and Emma Jane Alspaugh; step grandchildren, Bill (Nicole) Vernon of Maryland, Eric Vernon of Indianapolis; step great granddaughter, Abigail Vernon; a brother, Walter (Leslie) Davis of Middletown; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Benjamin Davis, Flossie Sparks, William Davis, James Davis, Evelyn Roberts, Gola Benson and Donald Davis.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, September 10 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 11 at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
