Charles “Charlie” F. Ogden, 61, of Lynn, IN passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 27, 1955 in Winchester, IN the son of Forrest “Moose” and Betty (Hollingsworth) Ogden. He was a 1974 graduate of Union High School of Modoc, IN.
Charlie retired in 2013 after 39 years as a Machine Operator with Alcoa, now Silgan-Closure. He attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church of Carlos, IN. He was a member of United Steel Workers Union. He enjoyed spending his leisure time bowling and navigating in his John Deere Gator. He will be most remember as a devoted father and grandfather.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Sandy Marie (Pentecost) Ogden; two sons, Ryan Ogden (wife, Lauren) of Centerville, IN and Jared Ogden (wife, Christie) of Modoc, IN; two brothers, Jerry Ogden (wife, Nancy) of Centerville, IN and Doug Ogden (wife, Peggy) of Williamsburg, IN; mother-in-law, Caroll Pentecost; and six wonderful grandchildren, Peyton, Brodie, Zoe and Zyler Ogden, Ryleigh Hartman, and Charlie Leah May Ogden. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sisters; father-in-law, Jack; and a best friend, Brian Hartman.
A service to celebrate Charlie’s life was Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church of Carlos, IN with burial following in Union Cemetery of Carlos.
