Robert E. “Bobby” Snedigar, age 81, of New Castle, Indiana passed away Monday morning, July 6, 2020. He was born August 14, 1938 in Knightstown, Indiana, a son of Everett and Dorothy (Loveall) Snedigar.
Robert, known as “Bob” or “Bobby” in the community, was a life-long owner/operator of restaurants and bars in several locations in Henry County for over 60 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #484 where he was named past Elk of the Year. He was an auxiliary member of the Knightstown American Legion and VFW. He was actively involved in many civic and social organizations and served his community in various capacities. He generously gave to any one in need, donated generously to veterans by providing meals and donations to support the military. He was a very caring and loving son, father, grandfather and friend to many friends and family.
He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda (Darrell) Hynes, Teresa Snedigar (Linda), Marsha Snedigar, (fiance, Vernon) and Barbara (Bryan) Payne; a son, Robert Snedigar (Kelly); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Violet “Vi: Snedigar of lastr year he was preceded in death by a son, Freddie (Tammy) Snedigar; a brother, Freddie Snedigar.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2020 at First Baptist Church Family Life Center with Reverend Carol Wiley officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m., until 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the church. A private burial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2020 at Glen Cove Cemetery On-line condolences may be made at www.macerhall.com.
