One teen was killed and one was injured in a shooting on Richmond’s west side on Sunday evening.
Just after 5 p.m. May 10, second-shift patrol officers for Richmond Police Department were called to the 300 block of Lincoln Street in reference to a shooting.
Officers located two victims with gunshot wounds upon arrival, according to Capt. Curt Leverton of RPD’S Investigative Services Division.
A 17-year-old female was transported to Reid Health, where she was treated and later released.
A 17-year-old male was transported to Reid Health and was later pronounced dead.
Richmond investigators were called to the scene for processing and evidence collection.
No arrests had been made as of press time, and this case remains under investigation.
