Mary Catherine Schoettmer, 94, of Connersville passed away Wednesday evening, April 15, 2020.
One of six children of Joseph and Clara Laudick Fisse, Mary was born in Rush County, Indiana on February 2, 1926. With her family, she moved to Greensburg, Indiana where she attended St. Moore Catholic School and graduated from Clarksburg High School.
On October 10, 1953, she married Anthony “Tony” Schoettmer in St. Morris Catholic Church and came to Connersville for residence. Mr. Schoettmer passed away on January 17, 1994.
Mary was employed at Visteon in Connersville, retiring in 1989 after 23 years of service.
A faithful member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Mary was a member of Daughters of Isabella and St. Ann’s Altar Society. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Neva) Schoettmer of Connersville; three grandchildren, Tony (Teresa) Schoettmer, Amanda Graves, and Tonya (Michael) Webber-Fowler; two great-grandchildren, Chandler Graves and Kenzie Webber-Fowler; a sister Rita Bokelman of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband of 40 years, Tony Schoettmer, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Larry and Philip Schoettmer; an infant daughter, Mary Ann Schoetttmer; daughter-in-law, Simone Schoettmer; three brothers, Clarence, Raymond, and Paul Fisse; and a sister, Freida Fisse.
Family and friends may leave online condolences and view a live stream of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. April 18, 2020, by visiting millermosterrobbins.com. Reverend Dustin Boehm will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date.
