The track teams from Centerville and Richmond traveled to Eaton, Ohio, on Saturday, April 25, to participate in the Dean Stoltz Invitational. Richmond finished third among the 12 teams in both the boys and girls meets.

The Red Devils recorded some outstanding performances, highlighted by Jacob Lindahl winning the shot put with a career best toss of 61’3” and Trevin Crosby winning the 400 meter in the sub-50-second time of 49.75. Crosby also won the 200 meter in a time of 23.17. Brady Newton won the 2000 meter steeplechase. The 4×100 meter relay team also won the blue ribbon. 

In the girls meet, Akailyn Hogg was a dual winner, winning the 100 meter in a time of 12.44 and the 200 meter in the time of 25.91. The 4×200 meter relay won in a time of 1:48.04, Brylee Wilks won the long jump with a leap of 16’8.5″ and Jenna Johnston won the shot put with a toss of 36’10.5”.

Other top five finishers for Richmond in the boys meet include Ty’ziah Stubbs, fifth in the 100 meter and second in the long jump; Skylar Timmons, second in the 200 meter; Brady Newton, fourth in the 400 meter; Cale Newton, second in the 1600 meter; and both the 4×400 meter relay and the 4×800 meter relay teams finished second. 

Other top five finishers of Richmond in the girls meet include Kemaira Farris-Craig, fifth in the 400 meter; Samantha Hileman-Dudas, third and Lena Allen, fifth in the 2000-meter steeplechase; Shanel Sexton, fourth in the long jump.

Centerville also had an event winner. Anna Nevels won the 2000-meter steeplechase in the girls race with a time of 8:42.06. Other top five finishes include Nevels, fourth in the 3200 meter run; Sara Martin, fourth in the 400 meter; and Chloe Tressler, fourth in the 100-meter hurdles and fifth in the 300-meter hurdles. The 4×100-meter relay team and the 4×800-meter relay team both finished fourth, the 4×200-meter relay team was fifth and the 4×400-meter relay team was third. Ilan McKinney was second in the high jump, and Brylee Marshall was fifth in long jump.   

Top five finishes for Centerville boys included Mason Chaney, third in the 400 meter; Greyson Hawkins, fifth in the 800 meter; and the 4 x 800 meter relay team, fourth. Evan Bain was second in the high jump and Bryson Brown was fourth. Eli Riggs was fourth in the discus.
