Mr. James R. “Jimmy” Fields, 61, of Centerville, passed away unexpectedly to be with the Lord on Monday, July 24.
He was born in Richmond, Indiana on July 4, 1956 to Robert E. and Joyce Hale Fields, both of whom preceded him in death.
He was a 1975 graduate of Northeastern High School.
Jimmy recently retired from Reid Health after 40 years of service. He was a member of Galilean Baptist Church in Centerville. He was also a member of the Whitewater Valley Marine Corps League, AMVETS and the Hagerstown American Legion. He loved riding his motorcycle, watching races at the dirt tracks, fishing, bowling and the companionship of his beloved canine companion, Penny.
Jimmy will be missed by his fiancée, Anita Loudy; sons, Jeremy Fields and Shaun Fields and his wife, Bethaney; Wayne Loudy, Jr., who Jimmy thought of as a son; granddaughters, Emma, Adrianna, Shelby and Sierra; and sister, Tammy Haswell.
Pastor Danny Cross conducted a funeral ceremony on Saturday, July 29 at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27, Fountain City. Interment followed in Webster Cemetery.
