With selections ranging from a children’s cartoon theme to a harp concerto, two orchestras will perform for all ages on Saturday, May 10.

Richmond Symphony Orchestra concludes its season with “A Finale Fantastique” at 7:30 p.m. in Civic Hall, 380 Hub Etchison Parkway.

Selections include Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun,” Gliere’s “Harp Concerto” and Berlioz’s “Symphony Fantastique.”

The romantic concerto will feature guest artist Bridget Kibbey, a Juilliard School graduate who is on the harp faculties of Bard Conservatory, New York University and Juilliard’s precollege program.

A preconcert conversation is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for college students and free for grades K-12. Reserve tickets at richmondsymphony.org or 765-966-5181.

Earlier in the day, Richmond Community Orchestra will debut its new Kinder Concert. It’s a free, casual environment for ages 0-5 and beyond to learn about music and instruments.

Kids won’t have to sit still in Seton Catholic High School’s Chuck Mosey Memorial Gym at 233 S. Fifth St., Richmond.

Wrestling mats, chairs and bleachers will be provided for all ages as they watch and hear unique pieces such as the theme to “Bluey,” “Sandpaper Ballet,” “The Waltzing Cat” and “March Past of the Kitchen Utensils.”

The approximately 30-minute performance and instrument introduction begin at 11 a.m. A few family organizations will set up booths with information about their services at 10 a.m.
