The Northeastern softball team hosted the Union County Lady Patriots in a Tri-Eastern Conference game on Wednesday, April 23. The Lady Knights scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning and went on to take a 12-2 win. The game was halted after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.
Alexis Russell collected three hits for the winners, and Macey Oler and Isabella Peed both had two hits. Harley Pilgrim had two hits to lead the Lady Patriots.
