The Northeastern Knight basketball team put their names in the record book on Friday, Feb. 28, in their final regular-season game, by defeating the visiting Connersville Spartans by the final score of 56-42. The win was the 22nd of the season for the 2A fifth-ranked Knights and is the most regular-season wins in school history. 

Connersville led 12-9 at the end of the first quarter, but they could not hold off the Knights, who outscored the Spartans 34-17 in the second and third quarters en route to a 56-42 victory.

Noah Payne led the winners with 21 points, Sam White scored 14 points and collected 10 rebounds, and Landon Scarrette scored 11 points. Individual statistics for Connersville were not available.
