Western Wayne Schools recently announced that for the first time in school history, five members of their archery team have qualified to advance to the state tournament on Saturday, March 8.
Northeastern Wayne again will send students to state. Its middle and high school bullseye teams both qualified.
For WWS, Wesley Burdette, Adam Elliott, Kyra Elliott and Andi Lakes qualified to participate in the bullseye shoot. Coleson Burdette, Westley Burdette, and Kyra Elliott qualified for the 3D shoot.
Northeastern Middle School qualifiers were Kole Allen, Oliver Breitenbach, Dallas Brookshear, Makenna Burdette, Devin Burnett, Kynlee Burnett, Caleb Byrum, Ethan Clark, Becca Doerflein, Hailey Garwood, Hayden Goble, Bryson Henemyre, Dalton Houser, Bryson Koch, Easton Koch, Emma Lipps, Ayrus Pentecost, Grayson Pierce, Addison Schubert, Ember Shouse, Spencer Smith, Davis Spurlock, Hunter Thomas and Briar Van Hoorebeke.
Northeastern High School qualifiers were Ayden Alcorn, Bailey Berhalter, Cheyenne Booker, Dakota Booker, Haylee Brown, Whitney Burkhart, Samara Carr, Alicen Cassel, Breanna Day, Karlee DeLucio, Regan Haynes, Annie Hickel, Aerriana Johnson, Aidan Leddington, Kevin Muckridge, Faithlyn Musselman, Kaylie Perry, Charlie Roberts, Austin Robles, Kaci Schepman, Brianna Shaw, Leann Wadsworth, Samantha Whallon and Noah Willett.
Tri Jr.-Sr. High School student Cadence Daffron and Jayden Lynn from Connersville High School qualified in the high school bullseye shoot.
