The Northeastern Lady Knight basketball team, recently elevated to number five in the 2A state coaches poll, lived up to their lofty ranking on Wednesday, Dec. 11, with a 62-42 road win over 3A Lawrenceburg. 

The Lady Knights used their trademark defensive pressure and balanced scoring to hand the Lady Tigers only their second home loss of the season and the first to an Indiana school. 

The Lady Knights took control of the game early, racing to a 14-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

The Knights placed three players in double figures. Ady Kircher led with 20 points, Cami Angi scored 12 points and Ava Mikesell added 11 points. Kamryn Ferreira led the Tigers with 17 points and Natalie Knigga scored 12 points.
