The Centerville Bulldogs boys basketball team traveled to Fountain City on Thursday, Dec. 5, to challenge the Northeastern Knights in the Tri-Eastern Conference opener for both schools. The Bulldogs had the hot hand early and were still leading 21-18 lead after the first quarter.
The Knights stormed back to take a 35-26 at halftime. Senior Landon Scarrette led the charge scoring 20 first-half points.
The Knights used defensive pressure to speed up play in the second half and expanded their lead to 55-39 after three quarters.

Scarrette led the Knights with a game-high 30 points, including 13-14 from the free throw line. Noah Payne scored 14 points. The Bulldogs were led by Jace Hollendonner, Kaden McCord and Keith Plyley Jr. with 11 points each.
