The Centerville Bulldogs traveled to Royerton on Saturday, Dec. 7, for a nonconference game with 3A perennial power Delta. The Bulldogs took the Eagles out of their comfort zone by slowing the game’s pace, leading 13-11 at halftime. 

The Eagles used long-range shooting in the third quarter to take control of the game, hitting four 3-pointers to build a 31-24 lead after three quarters. The Eagles held off a fourth-quarter Bulldog comeback attempt to hold on for a 45-40 win.

The Eagles placed three players in double figures. Cooper Bratton scored 11 points, and Bronson Edwards and Jordan Furney each scored 10 points. Freshman Jace Hollendonner led the Bulldogs, and all game scorers, with 18 points.
