Ronald James Jackson, 72, of Richmond, Indiana passed away on December 4, 2019.
He was born in Gary, Indiana on March 18, 1947, to James Rufus and Annie Gray Jackson.
He cherished life and lived it daily surrounded by family and friends.
He was an avid music lover, gun collector and fisherman. He was our protector always making sure the people he loved were safe. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church where he served and honored our Lord.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Connie Jackson, his sister Janet Young. His sons: James (Alene) Joyce, Rodney (Jane) Joyce, Victor (Angie) Jackson, Cornell Jackson; daughters: Mary Jackson, Tyra “Boots” Ferguson; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; special aunt: Alice (mother); rights hand man Tony Hegg; his loving adopted daughter: Amber Jones and family; special cousins: Vera Jackson and Charles Brooks and godson: Izzy; two little buddies: Skye and Ruckus.
He was preceded in death by his adopted parents Marlon & Ruby Jackson and one daughter, Darla Hill.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday December 12, 2019 at 1pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where calling hours will be held two hours prior to the service from 11am-1pm.
