Northeastern High School junior Heather Crull was one of 10 weight class winners crowned in the U23 division of the USMC women’s national championship on Saturday, April 13, in Spokane, Washington.
Crull defeated Sterling Dias from Nevada for the 50 kg championship by winning the first two matches in a best of three format. At the conclusion of the event, Crull was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler in the U23 division.
Winners at each weight class secured a spot on the 2024 U23 Pan American Championship team slated to compete in Rionegro, Colombia, June 21-22.
