Fountain City Forward has announced three events leading to the April 8 total solar eclipse.
On April 6, Total Eclipse of the Art, a juried art competition will be at the Fountain City Lions Den, 600 W. Main St., Fountain City.
Judging will occur at 9 a.m. and awards presented at 10 a.m. Shaun Dingwerth, executive director of Richmond Art Museum, and Christian Adams, art curator for Earlham College, will judge the entrants. The exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Lions also will host a pancake breakfast.
Also on Saturday, an Artisan Market will be at Whosoever Ministries, 207 N. Green St., Fountain City. The market will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with handcrafted items for sale.
A Bark Side of the Moon 5K Glow Run and Pet Walk will be April 7.
The pet parade and costume contest will be at 5:30 p.m. Registration for the 5K is $30 and includes a T-shirt, pet bandana and glow necklace. All finishes will receive a medal, and winners of each age category will receive a trophy.
