A Richmond man was transported to a Dayton, Ohio, hospital after a shooting on Halloween morning in Richmond.
Shortly after 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, a shooting was reported to the Richmond Police Department.
Floyd Story, 43, of Richmond, arrived at Reid Health with a single gunshot wound to his right leg.
Story was eventually transported to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, and was reported to be in stable condition, according to Capt. Curt Leverton of Richmond Police Department’s Investigative Services.
The incident is reported to have occurred in the area of North West Fifth and North West L streets.
Officers have been unable to locate the actual location as Story reported he flagged a ride down to transport him to the hospital, Leverton said.
At this time, officers do not have a description of any suspect(s).
Anyone who was in the area at that time who might have seen something are asked to contact Richmond Police Department at 765-983-7247.
RPD’s Investigative Services Division will continue to investigate the incident.
