Dr. Nolan Benny Strunk, 51, of Cambridge City, Indiana passed away early Tuesday morning, October 1, 2019, at Caroleton Manor where he had been a patient for the last year and a half.
One of five children of Bennett and Glenna Sumner Strunk, Nolan was born in Fairfield, Ohio on August 12, 1968. Nolan graduated from Fairfield High School and Life Christian University. In 2010, he earned his Doctorate of Theology.
On June 6, 2009, Nolan married the former Rebecca “Becky” Harris in Franklin, Ohio. Mrs. Strunk survives.
Nolan was employed as an automotive parts manager at Hyundai Automotive in Richmond, Indiana.
He was a member of PTC Ministries in Connersville, and an Associate Pastor at Crosspointe Biker Church in Connersville and Covenant Christian Center in Franklin, Ohio. Nolan was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and had been associated with the Fayette County Ministerial Association. In his leisure time, Nolan enjoyed teaching and going to Bible study class, model cars, and watching cooking and car TV shows.
Besides his wife of ten years, Becky Strunk, survivors include a step-daughter, Marissa Maggart of Indianapolis; two sisters, Debra (Rick) Stout of Fairfield, Ohio and Fonda (Brian) Dickerson of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Randy (Paula) Strunk of Effingham, Illinois; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nolan was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eurma Thomas.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor James “Skip” Collins and Pastor Josh Lackey will officiate.
