Lucinda F. Callahan, 61, Richmond, was born October 2, 1959 in Richmond, Kentucky. She was the daughter of William and Mary Elizabeth Bowling.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, George Callahan; daughter, Dawn (Jeremy) Anderson; son, Anthony (Kristin) Callahan; grandchildren, Meghan, Hailey, Toni Callahan, and Taylor and Hudson Anderson; brother, Bill Bowling; sisters, Sue Callahan, Peggy Robinson, Sylvia Gipson, Donna Silfer, Carolyn Coates and Melba Brown. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She graduated from Richmond High School. After graduation she went on to pursue a career in facility/building/grounds. She worked for Richmond Community Schools for 20 years as Assistant Director of Facilities and Grounds. She then went on to be the manager of Material Management at St. Vincent hospital in Winchester, Indiana. She ended her career at Earlham College as Assistant Director of Facilities.
Cindy loved playing the piano and singing for the Lord. She spent a lot of time studying God’s word and passing her knowledge to her family. She cherished her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Portia Warren; and nephews, Jason Burkhart and Bobby Robinson.
Services will be held October 4, at North 27 Worship Center at 11:00 am with pastors Robert Johnson and Phil Russell officiating. Friends may call Sunday October 3 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Community Family Funeral Home.
