Five Centerville-area residents received an Outstanding Citizen Award from Centerville Lions Club.

The organization’s 37th annual community awards banquet took place April 13 in Centerville Senior High School’s cafetorium. 

Recipients were Larry and Susan Hamilton of Hamilton Farms, Dana and Joetta Harris of DAJO Photos LLC, and retired Centerville Elementary teacher Beth Reagan. DAJO Photos is one of Western Wayne News’ contract photography partners.

Committee members Mike McCoy, Dennis Stephen and Holly Stiggleman presented plaques to the winners. Crystal Jenkins is club president.  

Lions Club Secretary Wendy Cook was surprised to receive the highest Lions Club award, the Melvin Jones Award. It’s named after the organization’s founder.
