Three companies submitted bids to perform demolition work at 400 S. 12th St.
The Richmond Board of Public Works and Safety opened the bids Sept. 24 and voted to refer them to purchasing for evaluation and a recommendation.
B&B Construction of Richmond bid $22,500, Cox Excavating of Richmond bid $33,500 and Mikesell Excavating of New Paris, Ohio, bid $33,750.
The board also approved road closures for the 4th Street Fair. The closures will begin at 4 p.m. Oct. 2 and last until 6 p.m. Oct. 4. The fair runs Oct. 3 and 4.
The board approved a contract with Wetzel Ford for three 2027 Ford Explorer police vehicles costing $147,927. The board previously awarded the bid to Wetzel.
An updated substance abuse policy for Rose View Transit was approved. It follows the template policy used by the Indiana Department of Transportation.
The city will recognize 15 holidays for employees during 2027 after the board approved the holiday schedule.
