Qualifying athletes traveled to Lawrence Central High School on Thursday, May 29, to compete in the track and field regional. The top three in each event advanced to the state track meet that will be Friday, June 6, at North Central High School in Indianapolis.

Richmond junior Jacob Lindahl won the shot put with a career-best toss of 58’10, and Richmond senior Masson Heiny placed third in the discus with a throw of 160’5. The only other Wayne County athlete scoring in the meet was Hagerstown senior Landon Lawson. Franklin Central won the event with 82 points, Richmond tied for 10th with 22 points and Hagerstown placed 24th with one point.
