Wetzel Auto will provide Richmond’s street department with a 2026 model truck rather than a 2025 model.
The upgrade will cost an additional $3,937.92, which the city’s Board of Public Works and Safety approved during its July 30 meeting. Total cost for the Ford F-350 with an in-stock service body will be $83,437.68.
The original contract for a 2025 model was awarded last year.
The board approved closure of the service alley north of Elstro Plaza on Aug. 8 for Richmond Parks and Recreation Department to show the movie “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.” The movie, which will start at dusk, was rescheduled from June 6 because of weather.
The board also approved the closure of Elm Place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Aug. 22 for the Hideaway Bar’s customer appreciation event.
