Richmond Police Department is seeking information on two recent reported robberies at convenience store/gas stations.
Police are investigating the robberies separately, said Capt. Curt Leverton of Richmond Police Department’s Investigative Services Division.
A robbery was reported at the Conoco station in the 1200 block of South Ninth Street at 4:42 a.m. June 30. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a light-colored shirt and shorts with a white mask. A weapon was mentioned but not seen. The suspect fled the area on foot to the east.
Another robbery was reported at the Phillips 66 station first block of South West 18th Street at 1:18 a.m. July 2. That suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing all black, with white and black shorts under the black pants and a mask. The suspect was reported to be armed with a weapon, and left the area on foot to the south.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
Richmond’s last gas station robbery took place about two weeks ago. RPD was alerted to a report of a robbery shortly after 5:45 a.m. June 12 at the Village Pantry/Marathon station in the 1200 block of South Ninth Street. Police described the suspect as an “unknown male” who demanded money and left the area on foot.
