Richmond High School hosted the wrestling regional on Saturday, Feb 7. The top four finishers in each weight class qualified to advance to the New Castle semi-state to be held on Saturday, Feb. 14. Robert Peacock (Richmond High School) and Gus Golliher (Hagerstown High School) were weight-class champions and will advance to the semi-state. Olivia Crull (Northeastern High School), Carter Gross (HHS), Tyler Wiley (RHS), Brendon Walker (RHS), Vanden Miller (NE), Landon Gilbert (HHS) and Tziyon Phillips (Centerville High School) also qualified to advance to the semi-state.
East Central won the regional, sliding past New Castle 96-95.5. Hagerstown was eighth, Richmond 11th, Northeastern 12th and Centerville 15th.

106-pound champion: Mason Butler (37-0) Milan HS. Grayson West from Centerville and Skyler McGowan from Richmond both lost their first round matches and were eliminated.

120-pound champion: Carson Weiler (43-3) Batesville HS; third place, Carter Gross (HHS); fourth place, Tyler Wiley (RHS)
126-pound champion: Bradyn Volz (35-0) Eastern Hancock HS. Kory Mathena (RHS) and Isaiah Smith (CHS) both lost their first-round matches and were eliminated.
132-pound champion: Matthew Baylor (35-0) Milan HS; third place, Brendon Walker (RHS)
138-pound champion: Tylin Thrine (33-2) New Castle HS; third place, Vanden Miller (NE); fourth place, Landon Gilbert (HHS)
144-pound champion: Adam Brewer (44-1) Batesville HS. Jackson Welin (NE) and Javen White (CHS) both lost their first-round matches and were eliminated.
150-pound champion: August “Gus” Golliher (38-7) Hagerstown HS. Tyziyah Stubbs (RHS) lost his first-round match and was eliminated.
157-pound champion: Hunter Survant (35-4) Eastern Hancock HS. Grant Soper (CHS) lost his first-round match and was eliminated.
165-pound champion: Nyden Euson (35-4) East Central HS; third place, Tziyon Phillips (CHS). Maurice Hibbler (RHS) and Landon Thornburg (HHS) both lost their first-round matches and were eliminated.
175-pound champion: Darin Reynolds (18-4) New Castle HS. Trevin Crosby (RHS) and Dixin Mitchem (HHS) both lost their first-round matches and were eliminated.
190-pound champion: Brody Wingate (39-1) East Central HS; fourth place, Wyatt Mitchell (HHS). Carter Jones from Richmond lost his first-round match and was eliminated.
215-pound champion: Sam Pavey (31-3) Rushville. Camden Reed (RHS) and Quentin Turner (CHS) both lost their first-round matches and were eliminated
285-pound champion: Seth Graham (25-3) Lawrenceburg HS. Malachi Qualls (RHS) lost his first-round match and was eliminated.
