Centerville High School graduates returned to their alma mater for their 116th annual alumni banquet on June 27. The reunion occurs on the fourth Saturday in June.
The program honored its eldest members from the class of 1951: Fred Dickerson, Joan Harris Dilley, Phyllis Resh Mattheis and Jane King Walpole. Veterans from 1966, 1976 and 2001 received milestone pins for their service. In addition to celebrating the school’s history, the Centerville Alumni Association acknowledged its five 2026 Alumni Scholarship recipients: Troy Cole, Riley Duke, Abigail Sangster, Ethan Vecera and Kyson Wright.
Attendees enjoyed dinner and celebratory singing of the school song led by former cheerleaders.
The Centerville Alumni Association consists of President Rudy Toschlog, Co-Treasurers Larry Hensley and Sherry Dean Hensley, and members Judie Schlotterbeck, Mary Anne Koons, Janie Thompson, Dale Center, Cris Floyd and Brenda Pierson.
