Music, dance and live painting will collide in a professional traveling performance coming to Richmond.

Creators of the Artrageous show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, say the all-ages spectacle will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.

The troupe is offering the interactive experience at Civic Hall Performing Arts Center in Richmond High School, 380 Hub Etchison Parkway, Richmond.

Artrageous has given more than 3,000 performances in 49 states and 12 countries, and shared the stage with Harrison Ford, Jay Leno, Sir Richard Branson and the late Gen. Colin Powell.

A page of reviews shows that Ford said, “You’re the best!” and the NBA All-Stars said, “So spectacular, so immediate, so brilliantly creative!”

Artrageous pays tribute to a variety of art forms, icons and musical genres throughout the performance. Audiences can browse the finished paintings on stage after the show, meet the troupe and take photos.

Critics have drawn comparisons to the innovation of the Blue Man Group.

Tickets are $40 for adults and $32 for students. Group rates are available.

They can be reserved by calling 765-973-3350, visiting www.civichall.com or at the door.
