O.D. Bullock, 86, of Richmond, Indiana, died on Saturday, September 30, 2022 at Reid Health.

O.D. was born on December 2, 1935 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, to Delbert and Geneva Lunsford Bullock. He moved to Indiana in 1948. O.D. graduated from Fountain City High School in 1954, where he was the class president and played basketball. His strong work ethic started during school, during which he always held a job, including at the grocery store, gas station, or on a farm.  O.D. worked at Wayne Works for 33 1/2 years as a service representative and in customer service. He then went to work for Tesco Bus Sales for 9 years, and at the Leland Residence for 9 years. After 3 tries, he finally retired in 2009.  O.D. loved basketball and all sports, grilling and cooking, and being with his family and friends. O.D. traveled to all 50 states, many of which were in a school bus to be delivered around the country. He and Bev shared the “travel bug,” and took 3 trips to Hawaii as well as 8 cruises, including through the Panama Canal and to Alaska. He attended First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed listening to gospel and country music.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beverly; daughters Cathy Chamberlin and Amy Fouche; grandchildren Stacy Jennings, Jackie (Jeremy) Basford, Ashley (John) Green, Olivia Fouche, Nick Fouche, Elizabeth (Jeff) Wood, Emily Fouche; great grandchildren Michael Jennings, Caleb Jennings, Aryonna Thomas, Alexis Bell, and Maren Doulen; great great granddaughter Ellianna Jennings; brother Al Bullock; sisters in law Shelby Bullock Ray, Thresia Bullock, Penny Bullock, Lois Bullock, and Carolyn (Jack) Bales; brother in law Paul (Jacky) Harman; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins,  friends, and his beloved grandpuppy, Phoebe. O.D. was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jack Bullock, Louis Bullock, Richard Bullock, Dee Bullock, and Bill Bullock; sisters Margaret Stokes and Sue Minderman; son Bob Bullock; grandson Eric Bullock; daughter in law Helen Bullock; son in law John Clevenger; sisters in law Geniece Bullock and Phyllis Bullock; and brothers in law Homer Stokes and Jim Minderman.

The family gives special thanks to Reid Health Hospice for the wonderful care provided to O.D.  Funeral services will be held at Community Family Funeral Home on Wednesday October 5, 2022, at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Dave Warren officiating.  Family and friends may visit the funeral home Wednesday two hours prior to the service (1pm-3pm).  A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Willow Grove Cemetery.  Send online condolences to the family via the guestbook at www.communityfamilyfh.com
